Everything is bigger in Texas. And muddier. And rougher. And downright nasty. Just ask the ATV enthusiasts that brave the Texas ATV trails throughout the year. Whether it’s spring, summer, winter, or fall, there’s always a place to hit the ATV trails and always a reason to ride.

This month, we highlight the Lone Star State in search of the best ATV trails. Let’s see what we found:

Hidden Falls Adventure Park

Marble Falls, Texas

Regardless of whether you are riding an ATV or powering up your side-by-side, Hidden Falls Adventure Park offers over 200 miles of trails for everyone from seasoned riders to absolute beginners. There are tons of trails that span throughout the countryside with plenty of opportunities to offload your machine.

Some of the trails can get a bit hairy. So, make sure you know where to get off depending on your experience and skill level. The park offers camping for tents and RVs as well as bunkhouses.

Mud Buddies ATV Park

Hallettsville, Texas

Do we need to explain this one? If you take muddin’ as seriously as they do in Texas, then head over to Mud Buddies ATV Park where you can wallow in over 500 acres of mud and sand, while braving the jumps and spinning around in the deep ATV bowls. You can also take in the Lavaca River nearby and enjoy some swimming and fishing.

Amenities include RV hookups, showers, restrooms, and cabins and trailers with full kitchens and supplies. Also, check their calendar for events that take place year round.

Northwest OHV Park

Bridgeport, Texas

At Northwest OHV Park, they refer to ATV riders as crawlers—groups that sign up to ride up and compete throughout the year in some of the most fun amateur events. What really sets OHV Park apart are the night rides that occur on selected dates. During the night rides, the park is open all night long and riders can brave the trails from sundown to sunup.

OVH Park is also home to the Central Rock Racing Series, where ATV spectators can witness ATV rock crawling and hill climbing. These specialty ATVs can make insane climbs at high speeds. Check the OHV Park website for selected dates and events.

Trophy Club Park

Trophy Club, Texas

Trophy Club Park includes 150 acres of ATV trails that spread out over seven miles. Riders can wander through loops, trails, and beaches that run alongside Grapevine Lake. It’s the perfect place for beginners, as there are several calm trails.

If you really want to get away for the weekend, then Trophy Club Park offers heavily wooded trails that are secluded. You can also enjoy hiking and camping, as well as other activities.
