We’ve put together a list of eight high-energy ATV racing series with events in various parts of the country – along with how you can follow along with the action throughout the season. There’s something here for everyone, from motocross to desert racing to cross country.

●      GNCC: Grand National Cross Country

The GNCC (Grand National Cross Country) series is well known in the off-road racing community. Although it is open to dirt bikes and ATVs, the ATV crowd has a strong showing, as well. It has excellent coverage throughout the industry, so it’s easy to stay on top of each event to know what’s going on in the series.

●      ATV Extreme Dirt Track National Championship Series

Dirt track racing is all about speed and cornering. And with the ATV Extreme Dirt Track National Championship Series, there’s plenty of both. Dirt track racing is among the most popular in the larger motorsports community, but this series is exclusive to ATVs.

●      New England ATV Motocross Series

The New England Motocross Series may not be the largest of the bunch, but it definitely has lots of spirit. Its pro class attracts plenty of talent, but it also features a variety of amateur classes, as well. If you’re in the area, you might want to compete!

●      MAXC: Mid America Cross Country Series

Just as the East has GNCC and the West has WORCS, the Midwest has MAXC (which will actually be under the WORCS name beginning in 2015). Although not quite as large as its coastal counterparts, the MAXC still offers plenty of great racing, and its YouTube channel offers surprisingly good coverage.

●      OMA: Off Road Motorcycles and ATVs Nationals

OMA is another popular ATV series that attracts both pro and amateur riders. Coverage is sparser than with other series, but you can often find race results online. There are eight total ATV and side by side events.

●      WORCS: World Off-Road Championship Series

WORCS is widely regarded as one of the elite off-road racing series in the country. It features dirt bikes and ATVs. There are plenty of industry sites that cover it, ensuring that you’re never out of the loop. Don’t forget to support the title sponsor!

●      SCORE International Off-Road Racing

It is possible you haven’t heard of SCORE, but it’s unlikely you haven’t heard of some of its most popular events, especially the Baja 1000. It’s an elite desert racing series, and that means that a variety of motorsport vehicles are involved. But you can be sure to see quads out there racing, as well. This year, each race will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network.

ATV racing has been around for a while, and it’s only going to keep getting bigger. These are definitely a number of great series you should be following if you want to stay up to speed on what’s going on in the quad racing world.
